Singaporean child sex offender Amos Yee Pang Sang, 27, was released from Changi Prison on Mar. 26 after his mother posted the S$10,000 bail, The Straits Times reported.

Yee spoke to the media while waiting for his mother's arrival, according to ST.

He said he was expecting a "very exciting family reunion" and had regularly kept in touch with his mother while in the United States.

However, he had not spoken to his father in about a decade.

He also described his time in U.S. prison as "a vacation resort", with television access and time spent outdoors.

In contrast, prison in Singapore was "essentially hell on Earth", Yee said, according to CNA.

Yee also commented that he was "very excited to continue his political activism here".

Yee's bail came with conditions.

According to ST, these included being barred from publishing any materials, disclosing information, or making public comments, including on social media, about his ongoing case.

He has to surrender travel documents in his possession and turn himself in to the authorities for investigations or in order to attend court.

He must also not commit any offence while on bail, interfere with any witness, or obstruct the course of justice.

Yee was deported from the U.S. and arrested on arrival at Changi Airport on Mar. 20.

He faces three charges in total for failing to report for his National Service pre-enlistment medical check-up and for remaining outside of Singapore without a valid exit permit.

Yee was offered bail on Mar. 26.
