Investigations are ongoing.
Eight taxi drivers operating under the Cross-Border Taxi Scheme have been arrested by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) for alleged bribery offences, the bureau announced on Mar. 30.
The eight Singaporean drivers, aged between 47 and 74, are accused of giving bribes to avoid penalties by Malaysian law enforcement officers for using the bus lane along the Woodlands-Johor Bahru Causeway.
