McDonald’s outlet at Tampines Mall closing, last day of operations on Mar. 8, 2026

The McDonald’s outlet at Tampines Mall will cease operations after Mar. 8, 2026, the last day of operations.

News of the closure was shared on the I Love Tampines Facebook page on Feb. 4.

In a photo that was shared, a notice put up at the Tampines Mall outlet informed patrons of the last day of operations.

The shutters will go down at 8pm on Mar. 8.

”We’d like to thank all our customers for your patronage over the years, and we look forward to delighting you again at our nearest restaurant,” the notice read.

Other McDonald's outlets nearby

There are three other McDonald’s outlets in the vicinity of Tampines Mall, the nearest one can be found at Block 513 Tampines Central 1.

In the Facebook post, the Tampines Mall outlet is described as one of the original tenants following the mall’s inception.

Tampines Mall opened in 1995 and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2025.

Commenters on Facebook reacted to the news of the impending closure with sadness and nostalgia, with some noting that the location of the fast food restaurant was in a high footfall area.

One commenter noted the possibility that the closure might not be permanent and the golden arches could return to the mall after its revamp.

Tampines Mall is undergoing an asset enhancement initiative, due for completion in the third quarter of 2026.

Responding to queries from Mothership, a McDonald’s spokesperson said, “It has been a privilege to serve generations of customers at Tampines Mall for more than 30 years, and to be part of so many everyday moments and memories.”

“Our nearby McDonald’s Tampines Central and Tampines Hub restaurants continue to warmly welcome our customers to enjoy their favourites with us,” the spokesperson continued.
