A man held up an entire bus after he went on a tirade against a bus captain in Singapore, accusing the latter of nearly hitting him.
According to a Mothership reader who was on the same bus, the incident took place on SBS Transit Bus 21, at the Hoa Nam Building bus stop on Jan. 30, around 11pm.
Man boarded the bus and started to shout at the bus driver
The reader, who was with two friends, said nothing appeared "out of the ordinary" when the bus first pulled into its stop.
There were an estimated 10 to 15 passengers onboard at the time, and the man was reportedly the only person who boarded.
The reader described the man's face as "very red", adding that his speech was also "slurred".
In a video provided, the passenger can be seen gesturing and pointing at the bus driver while raising his voice.

He told the driver, "You see people, you must know," criticising his manner of driving.
He was also seen making a swerving hand gesture, saying the bus should not be driven "like this".

"You don't play play like this ah," the man was heard saying.
The reader said the bus captain attempted to explain himself, but this only appeared to agitate the man further, who continued shouting.
After about three minutes, a voice was heard over the bus intercom addressing both parties.
Bus went "out of service" after the incident
After about five to 10 minutes, other passengers began alighting from the bus as they suspected it was unlikely to continue its journey.
The reader and his friends remained at the bus stop and noted that the man continued to argue with the bus driver for another 10 to 15 minutes.
The bus captain was later observed changing the bus display to indicate that it was out of service.
Man assisting in investigations
In response to Mothership's queries, SBS Transit spokesperson Grace Wu confirmed a dispute happened when a man boarded a Service 21 bus that Friday.
The company's Operations Control Centre subsequently contacted the police for assistance, and the bus resumed its journey after police attended to the situation.
Police also said they received a call for assistance at a bus stop along Foch Road at around 11:05pm that day.
No injuries were reported.
