Man, 71 & woman, 66, found dead in Punggol flat, blood seen on floor

A man and woman were found dead in a 10th floor flat at Block 408B Northshore Drive in Punggol on Feb. 27 morning, Lianhe Zaobao reported.

The man was 71 and the woman was 66, the police said.

Blood was found on the floor of the flat, it was reported.

Police said they were alerted to a case on Feb. 27 at 6:25am.

Upon arrival, officers found a man and a woman lying motionless in a residential unit.

They were pronounced dead at scene by a paramedic.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man and woman were known to each other.

The case has been classified as an unnatural death.

Police investigations are ongoing.

A neighbour in his 70s said he was unaware of the murder until a reporter told him about it.

According to him, the couple had lived there for about five years and had no children.

They seemed very loving, often went out together, and nothing unusual happened before they died, he noted.
