Chinese man throws child into water after arguing with wife, both jump in afterwards, passersby save all 3

Following a heated argument with his wife on a bridge, a man in China grabbed one of his children and threw the child into the water.

The incident occurred on Feb. 22, 2026, in Guangdong Province's Chaozhou City, 8world reported.

After watching her child get thrown into the water, the child's mother screamed before jumping in to save the child, 163.com reported.

The man subsequently jumped into the water, while their other child was seen crying on the bridge.

According to m.sohu.com, a passerby later rescued all three from the water.

Netizens were outraged at the man's actions, emphasising that regardless of conflicts, parents should never take it out on an innocent child.
