Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim led the Malaysian parliament in observing a moment of silence for slain Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranians following strikes on the capital city of Tehran and other areas by Israel and the U.S.
In a Malaysian parliamentary session on Mar. 2, Anwar expressed his condolences to the victims of the airstrikes and condemned the attack on Iran by Israeli-U.S. forces.

Anwar was introducing a debate on an emergency motion to address the attacks on Iran.
He also mentioned Iranian defence minister General Aziz Nasirzadeh, former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the armed forces and 180 people, mostly children, reportedly killed in an airstrike on a girls' primary school in Minab, southern Iran according to Iranian officials.
Feb. 28 attacks
Israel launched strikes against Iran on Feb. 28 alongside the U.S military, ostensibly to eliminate "imminent threats" from the Iranian regime and its nuclear programme.
Following the Feb. 28 attacks, U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian state media confirmed that Khamenei was killed in his Tehran compound.
On Mar. 1, a girls' primary school in southern Iran was subject to a missile strike that resulted in the deaths of at least 180 people, most of whom were children, according to Al Jazeera, citing Iranian officials.
Iran launched retaliatory strikes aimed at the wider Middle East, which have damaged buildings and airports in Dubai, UAE and also hit targets in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman, among others.
Officials at Dubai International Airport reported four people injured, while Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi said one person was killed and seven others were injured in a drone strike. Strikes were also reported at Kuwait International Airport, PBS reported.
