Chinese couple brutally hit girl, 15, with brick, slap her face with shoe & kick her after accident

A couple were recently detained for assaulting a 15-year-old girl after she had a minor collision with an elderly man, Yang, on Feb. 19, 2026, in China's Henan Province.

After the collision between their two electric scooters, Yang first verbally abused the girl, 163.com reported. Yang then called his son and daughter-in-law.

Violent assault

Sin Chew Daily reported that upon arrival at the scene, the couple attacked the girl without asking any questions and also attacked passersby who tried to intervene.

Not only did they hit her on the head with bricks, but they also slapped her face with shoes and kicked her.

Nearby shopkeepers also reportedly confirmed that the girl was severely beaten, pulled by the hair, and completely unable to fight back.

According to video footage on bilibili.com, the girl could be seen lying on the ground, trying to shield herself with one hand as the man continuously hit her.

Multiple injuries

The girl suffered a fractured eye bone, as well as damage to her spleen and stomach.

She was taken to the hospital and suffered severely impaired vision and hearing as of Feb. 21, according to k.sina.com.cn.

On top of that, the girl experienced vomiting, headaches and difficulty eating, 163.com reported.

However, the couple allegedly did not apologise after this incident.

Investigation

In light of the couple's assault, the police have since taken coercive criminal measures against them.

The case, which has sparked public outrage, is under further investigation.
