Over S$700,000 from over 100 victims has been lost in an alleged Pokémon trading card scam.

Many of those affected were looking to purchase Pokémon trading cards and preorder the latest "Elite Trainer Box" of cards, and they found a reseller named Fulfillment TCG.

On Feb. 25 at around 5:26pm, Fulfillment TCG notified its customers on Telegram that their orders would be delayed by one to two weeks.

However, the next message sent by the reseller shared that everyone who preordered was "a victim of a scam".

Fulfillment TCG explained to his buyers that he would not be able to return or refund their money as "all the money for preorder was wired to the scammer".

He claimed that he was also a victim of the alleged scam run by his supplier, PawsTCG, and that PawsTCG was reportedly framing him.

What went down?

Speaking to Mothership, one buyer, Kenny Ang, said that he dealt with both PawsTCG and Fulfillment TCG.

Ang previously made an order with PawsTCG in January 2026 for certain Pokémon trading cards.

However, a few days before his order was due, PawsTCG told Ang that the order would not arrive because he had cancelled it.

PawsTCG then refunded Ang and referred him to Fulfillment TCG, as he wanted to preorder the latest Pokémon trading card Elite Trainer Box.

Ang told Mothership that Fulfillment TCG began preorders in January 2026, and the orders were due to arrive between Feb. 23 and Feb. 25.

Customers were told to make full payment by Feb. 20 to secure their goods.

When his order did not arrive, Ang messaged Fulfillment TCG numerous times, but he got no response.

That was when Ang decided to buy the business information for Fulfillment TCG from Bizfile and obtained the reseller's personal information, including his name and registered business address, which happened to be the reseller's home.

Ang then went down with a few other buyers to confront Fulfillment TCG.

That was when Fulfillment TCG told Ang that he was allegedly scammed by PawsTCG and had apparently filed a police report.

Fulfillment TCG shared with Ang that the money transferred to him was later transferred to PawsTCG.

According to screenshots shared by Ang, more than S$300,000 was transferred to PawsTCG over the course of January 2026 to February 2026.

Ang alleged that the total amount was closer to S$700,000, affecting over 100 people.

According to a site made by one of the buyers, it collated numerous screenshots from alleged victims of Fulfillment TCG.

The largest amount lost was apparently S$365,280.

Ang also shared that he confronted PawsTCG over the phone, during which PawsTCG allegedly tried to pin the whole incident on Fulfilment TCG.

However, the proprietor allegedly admitted that he had "gambled away the money" Fulfilment TCG had transferred to him.

A check by Mothership found that Fulfillment TCG's and PawsTCG's Carousell stores are no longer available.

Ang has since filed a police report over the incident.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that a report has been made and that investigations are currently ongoing.

Ang explained that when trading cards are launched, they sell out almost instantly, leaving collectors to turn to resellers to buy them.

He shared that the retail price of the latest elite trainer box was S$89, but resellers were selling it for S$150 or more.

However, both Fulfillment TCG and PawsTCG were selling the box for S$108.

Ang told Mothership that he started the Telegram channel to keep potential victims updated on what happened and to expose the involvement of both Fulfillment TCG and PawsTCG in the incident.

The channel is also intended to act as a support group for the victims.

He also uploaded numerous TikTok videos detailing his side of the story.

Ang shared that while the amount he lost was "manageable", numerous victims came forward, saying they lost thousands to Fulfillment TCG and PawsTCG.

One victim reportedly lost S$89,000.

"I received a lot of messages from a lot of kids, like secondary school kids and polytechnic kids, who told me that they are also victims.

That was when I realised the gravity of the situation.

It's not just grown adults taking risks and losing money. It's children losing their life savings and are afraid to tell their parents."

Mothership has reached to Fulfillment TCG and PawsTCG for more information.

Top scam

According to the SPF's Annual Scam and Cybercrime Brief 2025, the top scam of concern was e-commerce scams.

Although the number of e-commerce scams declined significantly, a total of S$16.7 million was lost, averaging about S$2,503 lost per case.
