Goh Meng Seng's People's Power Party website taken over by unknown entity
The party was sent reminders to renew its website domain.
The website of the People's Power Party (PPP), started by Goh Meng Seng in 2015, has been taken over by an unknown, foreign entity, The Straits Times reported on Feb. 26.
Disclaimer says website not affiliated with PPP
Visitors to the website are currently greeted by a red banner, which displays a disclaimer message informing visitors that the website is not the official website of the party, but an independent, informational page.
The website currently lists information about the party, including its history, and shows a clock with Singapore's time.

The previous iteration of the website contained the party's logo and a banner photo of Marina Bay, along with information related to PPP.
The website's design was also heavy on purple, red and orange, colours which appear in PPP's logo.

Current domain owner not based in Singapore: ST
Checks online showed that the website domain is currently registered under Targa Limited.
According to ST, the site changed owners on Jan. 21, 2026, and Targa Limited is not based in Singapore.
The new owners have previously registered Singapore websites mimicking local eateries, which redirect visitors to foreign websites.
PPP Secretary-General Goh Meng Seng confirmed with ST that the website is now being run by an unknown entity and is unaffiliated with the party.
He also told ST, "Someone took the website. We do not know who he is. We cannot prevent them from posting what they want. But if they do post anything wrong, we will sue."
A spokesperson for the Singapore Network Information Centre (SGNIC), which oversees .sg domains, said that PPP was sent multiple reminders to renew its domain between September and November 2025, ST wrote.
The ownership lapsed on Jan. 20, which allowed Tagra Limited to register the domain on Jan. 21.
PPP first put up the website in May 2025, after the general election.
Web Commerce Communications is one of the 17 accredited registrars which can process .sg domain applications and is the registrar for peoplespowerparty.sg.
Its spokesperson said that one of its resellers manages the domain, and Targas Limited used this reseller service to register its ownership, ST reported.
ST further noted that one Beng Huat Tan was added as the website's administrator on Feb. 24, and that the website's registration expires on Jan. 21, 2027.
