Seng Kee Mushroom Minced Pork Noodles has decided to close its Ang Mo Kio outlet, the hawker stall announced in a January 2026 Instagram post.

The post added that its outlet located at Serangoon Garden Market will remain open.

Health issues

This decision to close its branch at 5023 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2 was due to the hawker's father, the first generation owner, experiencing "ongoing health concerns".

The post added that "his well-being has always been our top priority".

Prior to this, a December 2025 Instagram post mentioned that the Ang Mo Kio outlet would be closed until further notice as the elderly man was undergoing medical checks in the hospital.

Seng Kee Mushroom Minced Pork Noodles' first stall at Serangoon has been operating for around 40 years.

The hawker's daughter, Kai Lin, and her husband, Justin Lim, have since taken over, and are second generation owners of the stall.

Lim said that the stall specialises in fish maw noodles and fish maw soup, which he believes differentiates their stall from other bak chor mee stalls.

Deeply grateful

In light of the Ang Mo Kio outlet's closure, the post also thanked customers for continuing to stand by them.

The post read: "We are deeply grateful for your understanding, loyalty, and the many years of support you have shown us."

Following the announcement, Instagram users sent their regards, while others wished the owner's father a speedy recovery.
