Megan Zheng, 'Homerun' star & Golden Horse Award winner, now a mum with corporate job

Jack Neo was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Singapore Film Society (SFS) at a gala event on Jan. 2.

Known for the "Money No Enough", "I Not Stupid", and the "Ah Boys to Men" film series, Neo has contributed to Singapore's entertainment scene for 50 years as an actor, writer, director, and producer.

During the proceedings, many castmates and collaborators made appearances.

Despite the abundant starpower, Neo singled out one person in his Facebook caption commemorating the night.

Perhaps more recognisable to moviegoing audiences as Megan Zheng, she played Seow Fang in the 2003 local movie, "Homerun", about a pair of poor siblings who shared shoes in 1965 Singapore.

The then 10-year-old turned in a critically acclaimed performance, winning the Golden Horse Award for best newcomer in 2004.

According to The Straits Times, Zheng, now 32, has left the entertainment industry, become a mother, and is now holding a corporate job.
