Chinese dumplings brand Yuen Kee Dumpling will be giving out free meals to the Pioneer and Merdeka generations at selected outlets.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the brand launched the initiative on Jan. 5, 2026, when it gave away 300 sets of free meals at its Fortune Centre outlet in Bugis.

The seniors will also be able to choose from two options: eight dumplings with egg noodle or 10 wontons with egg noodle.

Launching initiative soon

Speaking to Shin Min, the manager of Yuen Kee Dumpling shared that this was the first time the brand held such an event to care for seniors and give back to society.

The brand decided to kick off the initiative at its Fortune Centre outlet because many senior citizens live in or frequent the area due to the nearby Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple.

The exact time, date and location of the free meal initiative has yet to be confirmed.

But if the initiative proves to be popular, the brand also plans to increase the free meals to 500 sets after Chinese New Year.

According to Yuen Kee Dumpling's Instagram page, the brand currently operates 10 outlets around Singapore.
