Jack Neo to receive Lifetime Achievement Award at VivoCity gala event open to public
100 tickets to the gala event will be given away to members of the public.
Singapore filmmaker Jack Neo will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Singapore Film Society (SFS) at a gala event on Jan. 2.
Members of the public can attend the event, titled "Jack Neo: Ah Boy to 梁导 (Director Neo)", from 6pm at Golden Village at VivoCity.
Known for the "Money No Enough, I Not Stupid", and the "Ah Boys to Men" film series, Neo has contributed to Singapore's entertainment scene for 50 years as an actor, writer, director, and producer.
The award and event celebrates this anniversary, highlighting the impact of Neo's films on Singapore cinema and culture.
What to expect
Neo's longtime collaborators and cast members from some of his films, including the "Money No Enough" and the "Ah Boys to Men" franchise, will make a special appearance at the gala event.
Fans can witness the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Neo, and engage in an on-stage dialogue with the filmmaker, to get a rare glimpse into his creative journey and philosophy.
Afterwards, stick around for a screening of Neo's acclaimed 2003 film "Homerun", a story of class and friendship set in newly independent Singapore.
How to get tickets
The SFS will be giving away tickets to the gala event to 100 fans.
Members of the public can request for a ticket by writing to [email protected] by Dec. 31.
To qualify, please include your name, mobile number, and a message to Neo in the email.
The first 50 people who qualify will be notified by Jan. 1 to receive a pair of tickets to attend the gala event.
