Dragon's Bite by Our Dining Place launched a $7 lunch buffet promotion on Dec. 9, but was forced to adjust its terms after facing an overwhelming response from customers.

Influx of patrons after promotion went viral

The restaurant garnered widespread interest after influencers such as @singaporebeauty shared the promotion on TikTok and Instagram.

With the massive influx of customers, the restaurant had to update the buffet's terms and conditions, as they were unable to fulfil reservations due to the sheer number of patrons during lunchtime.

"Due to overwhelming response today, we wish to apologised to one who

……..made reservation and yet was not able to join us as it is fully occupied.

………we have limit the shell prawns as our oversight on the demand." wrote the restaurant on their Instagram post.

The restaurant also confirmed that the social media posts had resulted in huge troves of customers, and thanked those who recommended them.

That influx of customers, though, also meant some poorer-than-average reviews focusing on the lunch buffet, although the eatery took it in their stride.

Still, their rating is at a very healthy 4.6 stars.

After the update, reservations are no longer taken for lunch, and only walk-ins will be allowed. A 45-minute dining limit has also been imposed.

Although the restaurant added new terms to the promotion, it's still available on weekends and public holidays, and has a Christmas lunch buffet menu as well.
