Bukit Batok collision: Man, 79, dies, man, 61, arrested for allegedly driving without due care
Investigations are ongoing.
A 79-year-old man died following a collision at Bukit Batok on Dec. 22.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said the incident occurred along Bukit Batok West Avenue 9 towards Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 at around 5pm.
Driver arrested
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the incident at around 5:05pm.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic.
Police confirmed that a 61-year-old man was arrested for driving without due care and attention causing death.
Investigations are ongoing.
