S'porean part-time actor, 46, among 4 charged for fight in Johor mall & police station
A video of the fight showed the accused exchanging punches in the mall and damaging retail signage.
A 46-year-old Singaporean part-time actor was among four people charged in Malaysia for fighting in a shopping mall and police station in Johor Bahru.
P Suresh was charged alongside businessman Chua Chin Heng, 56; Chua's wife Loe Sou Peng, 55; and their son Axl Chua Kai Jun, 27.
The incident took place on Dec. 21, and all four were charged in Malaysia’s Magistrate’s Court three days later on Dec. 24.
According to Malaysian news outlet The Star, Suresh pleaded guilty to voluntarily causing hurt towards Chua during a brawl at a shopping mall along Jalan Serigala.
The other three accused pleaded not guilty to causing hurt to Suresh.

The fight in the mall allegedly broke out after one of the men bumped into the other's wife and spilled beer on her.
A video of the altercation, which was widely circulated on social media, showed the group exchanging punches.

According to the police, one of the accused was lodging a report at the police station later that day when the other attacked him, triggering a second altercation.
Officers on duty broke up the scuffle and the two were later taken to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Charged
All four were charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum sentence of one year’s jail, a fine of up to RM2,000 (around S$634), or both, upon conviction, Bernama reported.
The court granted bail of RM5,000 (around S$1,585) to Chua, Loe and their son each with one Malaysian surety, with the case fixed for mention on Jan. 27, 2026.
Suresh, who pleaded guilty, was fined RM1,500 (around S$475).
Chua and Suresh also faced an additional charge of disorderly conduct for the alleged argument at the Larkin police station area.
Again, Chua claimed trial, while Suresh pleaded guilty.
The two were charged under Section 90 of the Police Act, read with Section 34 of the Penal Code, which provides for a maximum penalty of six months’ jail, a fine of up to RM500 (around S$158), or both.
The court set bail at RM4,000 (around S$1,268) in one Malaysian surety for Chua, while Suresh was fined RM400 (around S$126).
