Car crashes through pedestrian road barrier in Sengkang, likely self-skidded

A car crashed through a barrier between the road and pedestrian path in Sengkang in the early hours of Dec. 24.

In response to Mothership's queries, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 2:25am.

They believed that the car self-skidded along Punggol Road towards Hougang Avenue 10.

No injuries were reported.

Police investigations are ongoing, and a 36-year-old male car driver is assisting.

Aftermath

The accident happened near Rivervale Mall.

When Mothership visited the scene around 3am, the car was still there, along with a few traffic police officers.

The green barrier was significantly broken into and damaged, while the car was on the grass patch some distance away from the point of the crash.

Its front bumper and headlights also appeared badly dented.
