Seabed search operations will be recommence.
Malaysia's Ministry of Transport has stated that the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 will resume on Dec. 30, 2025.
One of aviation's greatest mysteries, the plane vanished more than a decade ago on Mar. 8, 2014.
In a statement posted to X on Dec. 3, 2025, the ministry expressed that "hope endures" and wrote that the "Malaysian government remains steadfast in its efforts to find answers and reaffirms its solidarity with all affected families".
Ocean Infinity, a U.S. marine robotics company that has previously conducted deep-sea searches, will "recommence seabed search operations for a total of 55 days, to be conducted intermittently".
Harapan diteruskan.
Operasi pencarian MH370 akan dimulakan semula oleh Ocean Infinity pada 30 Disember 2025.

Underscores government's commitment to providing closure
The statement emphasised that the search's reinstatement was due to the "Government of Malaysia's commitment in providing closure to the families affected by this tragedy".
"The search will be carried out in targeted area assessed to have the highest probability of locating the aircraft"
This is in accordance with the agreement between the Government of Malaysia and Ocean Infinity on Mar. 25, 2025.

Malaysian transport minister Anthony Loke previously shared that Malaysia will pay Ocean Infinity US$70 million (S$90.6 million) if the plane was found.
The Beijing-bound Boeing 777, en route from Kuala Lumpur was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew when it disappeared.
Two-thirds of passengers were Chinese citizens. Other nationalities onboard included Malaysians, Indonesians and Australians.
Largest search in aviation history
The plane's disappearance triggered the largest search in aviation history.
CNA reported that a recent search in April 2025 was suspended due to bad weather.
Ocean Infinity is based in Austin, Texas, in the U.S., and London, UK.
The company operates on a "no find, no fee" principle with the Malaysian government providing payment only if the plane is found.
Their 2018 hunt ended unsuccessfully.
Over the last decade, aircraft debris confirmed or believed to have originated from MH370 have washed ashore along coastlines in the western Indian Ocean.
Parts of the plane have been found in Mozambique, Madagascar and Réunion Island, seen in a guide published by The Guardian.
