Man, 34, lying outside Bedok police station, arrested for drug-related offences
Suspected drugs and drug-related paraphernalia were found on him.
A man, suspected of being under the influence of drugs, was arrested after he was found lying outside Bedok police station.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force said they were alerted to a man lying on the pavement along 30 Bedok North Road at around 5:25pm on Dec. 8.
Suspected drugs and drug-related paraphernalia were found on him.
The 34-year-old was subsequently arrested, and the case has been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau.
Dazed and confused
A resident passing by the police station told Shin Min Daily News that the man was seen sitting on the ground with items around him.
In photos provided to the Chinese media outlet, the man appeared to have been handcuffed and was sitting on the curb, looking dazed and confused.
The resident added that about six to seven police officers, some wearing gloves, had surrounded him and were believed to be gathering evidence.
The man was believed to have a bicycle with him and was seen riding past the police station.
He was apparently stopped because his behaviour was suspicious, said Shin Min Daily News.
Photos also showed that after his arrest, he continued to behave strangely and even hit his head against the ground.
