Wen made headlines when he rushed at Grande during the Singapore premiere of "Wicked:For Good" on Nov. 13.

Videos of the incident, which circulated widely online, showed Wen leaping over a barrier at the yellow carpet event at Resorts World Sentosa before running and placing his arms around the singer.

Grande appeared visibly startled before co-star Cynthia Erivo and security personnel quickly stepped in.

Netizens later identified Wen as a serial event crasher.

He has been linked to several similar disruptions, including Katy Perry’s Sydney concert, The Weeknd’s Melbourne show, and also at the men’s 100m final at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He describes himself in his social media bio as the “2023 World Cup Final Pitch Invader” and “Troll Most Hated”.

On the day of the yellow carpet on Nov. 13, Wen had posted on his Instagram stories declaring that he had "finally met Ariana Grande", as well as another post with the caption, "I'm free after being arrested".

Wen was subsequently arrested and pleaded guilty in a Singapore court on Nov. 17 to one charge of causing public annoyance by creating a commotion.

He was sentenced to nine days’ jail.

According to an Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) spokesperson, Wen was deported to Australia on Nov. 23 and has been barred from re-entering Singapore.
