Thailand bombs alleged scam compound in Cambodia, reportedly housed heavy weaponry

Thailand and Cambodia have resumed fighting.

On Dec. 8, Thai military sources posted on social media that it had launched air strikes against Cambodian targets along the disputed Thai-Cambodian border.

The Thai 2nd Army Operations Centre reported at 7.38 am on Dec. 8 that Cambodian troops had opened fire on Thai troops and that they had returned fire.

Casino compound

One of the targets of the Thai military is a casino compound in Cambodia.

According to The Thai Enquirer, the compound is also allegedly a scam compound located in the Ou Smach (or O'Smach) area, vand ideos showed it being bombarded by mortar rounds.

According to Thai PBS, Thailand's F-16 fighter jets also bombed a Cambodian cable car near Prasat Ta Khwai ancient ruins.

The Thai army has claimed that the casino was being used by Cambodian troops to store heavy weaponry and munitions, including drones.
