S$36 Christmas ham delivered to Sydney home of alleged Bondi Beach dad-&-son terrorists
Prank retaliation.
A Christmas ham was ordered and delivered to the home of the alleged father-and-son terrorist duo behind the Bondi Beach shooting, Sky News Australia reported on Dec. 16.
The A$42 (S$36) half-leg of ham is a pork product.
The product was among the items in Woolworths grocery bags sent to the Bonnyrigg home in southwest Sydney, Australia.
The suspects, who allegedly shot and killed 15 people at Bondi Beach on Sunday, Dec. 14, are Sajid Akram, 50, and Naveed Akram, 24.
Sajid died in the incident.
What happened
A relative of the father and son, who was at the house, appeared to collect the groceries left outside on Tuesday morning.
He appeared in a hoodie and face mask and quickly collected the items on the ground.
Reporters waiting there took the opportunity to ask questions about the attack.
The half-leg of ham subsequently arrived about 15 minutes later.
The receipt reportedly read: “Just leave it by the doorstep don’t knock.”
Pork and pork products are considered haram or forbidden in Islam.
The receipt also contained a slur.
The ham was ordered by someone named Mitch G.
According to news.com.au, the delivery driver was confused by the media presence outside the house.
The delivery person then left the bag on the footpath leading to the home.
