A Taiwanese woman, who sued her husband of 52 years for adultery, failed in her case due to a lack of evidence.

Although the woman had allegedly caught her husband red-handed with his mistress, she did not take photos of them together because she apparently loved her husband too much and became soft-hearted.

Four hours of intimacy with mistress

According to ETtoday, citing court documents, the woman and her husband had been together for over 50 years.

However, around September and October 2024, she discovered that her husband was seeing a Vietnamese woman outside of their marriage.

Her husband allegedly brought his mistress home and engaged in intimate acts with her for four hours.

They also went a three-day trip to Tainan and continued to stay in touch afterward.

Soft-hearted

No longer able to tolerate her husband's infidelity, the woman eventually took her spouse to court and sued for NT$800,000 (S$33,600).

Her husband denied the claims, arguing that there was no mistress and that she was imagining things.

After filing the lawsuit, the woman was asked by the court to substantiate her case with evidence.

However, the woman said she had caught her husband red-handed with his mistress, but became soft-hearted out of her love for him and did not take photos or videos, Mirror Daily reported.

Instead, the woman provided call logs as proof.

According to the woman, her husband did not have many friends and mostly spent time with his siblings.

On these grounds, she surmised that the calls that he had been making must have been to his mistress.

The woman insisted on proceeding with the lawsuit, but the local courts rejected her case due to the lack of evidence.
