You know the Christmas season is upon us when the lights are up at Orchard Road.

Has your family begun sending one another potential Christmas food “projects” excitedly in your group chat?

Out of the many gifts you can give each other, here’s a fuss-free one that’s bound to bring some cheer to your family, while lightening your mum’s load.

Cold Storage’s Christmas pre-order programme is back, and it’s a sure-fire way to get all your festive essentials sorted out ahead of time.

Plus, it comes with additional perks if you pre-order early.

Whether you’re hosting a fancy dinner, or just a simple potluck with friends, here are some options you can consider to look the part, without trying too hard.

Perfect holiday roasts

If you’re like me and believe that every meal should come with some protein, these deli roasts will be sure to pleasure your tastebuds.

Whether you’re going for the Rosemary Garlic Ribeye Roast (S$75) or the Italian Herb Ribeye Roast (S$65), they are sure to be a savoury hit.

Think slow-roasted beef to a juicy perfection, with a fragrant herby finish.

You can also go for their new roast dish this year, the Porchetta with Chorizo (S$70), a smoky, crispy, and tender pork belly rolled and roasted for that explosion of flavour and texture in your mouth.

Majestic spreads

Want to do more feasting and less thinking? Why not opt for one of these platters so you can have a good variety, without having to think too much.

The Hearty Christmas Feast (S$95) comes with Roasted Chicken with Chestnut Stuffing, Ribeye Roast Beef with Italian Herb, Honey Turkey Ham, Cranberry Chicken Meatloaf, and Smoked Garlic Chicken Sausages, and can feed eight to 10 persons.

There’s also the Supreme Iberico Set (S$115) for those who take their meat a tad bit more seriously; think Spanish Iberico Ribs, Sausage Platter and Ham that also serves eight to 10 persons.
