Man, 22, arrested for public nudity at NTU jogging track

NTU has reached out to the male student and other affected students to extend support where necessary.

A 22-year-old man was spotted walking completely naked at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) on the morning of Nov. 9.

In a tip-off by a Mothership reader, the man was seen walking on the NTU jogging track along Nanyang Crescent near Nanyang Crescent Halls.

The reader added that a police report was made, and the man was subsequently arrested.

A video of the incident also circulated online.

NTU's response

In response to Mothership's queries, an NTU spokesperson confirmed that a male student was reported walking naked in an outdoor public area on campus.

Campus security located him shortly after, and he was detained by the police.

The spokesperson added that NTU has reached out to the male student and other affected students to extend support where necessary.

"NTU remains committed to maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment and will take necessary measures to protect the campus community."

Investigations ongoing

The police confirmed that they received a call for assistance at about 10:15am on Nov. 9.

The man was arrested for appearing nude in a public place.

No injuries were reported, and investigations are ongoing.
