M'sia family finds 'batik cloth' in bathroom, turns out to be 60kg python
Unexpected visssssitor.
A girl in Malaysia came home from school to what looked like a piece of batik cloth hanging from her bathroom ceiling.
It turned out to be a 60kg reticulated python, The Star reported.
The girl first noticed the broken part of the ceiling when she entered the bathroom.
Frightened, she texted her mother and took a zoomed-in photo, which revealed the "cloth's" true identity.
Batik cloth to snake
The incident occurred around 4pm on Nov. 12.
The girl's mother, a teacher, was in a meeting when her daughter sent her a photo of the fallen ceiling.
The girl had noticed the damage on the ceiling and was scared to use the bathroom.
"When I got home, I checked the bathroom and saw what looked like a piece of batik cloth sticking out of the broken ceiling," the woman said.
“I wondered how batik cloth could end up there.
My daughter then zoomed in with her phone camera and that’s when we realised it was actually part of a snake’s body."
Huge python
After discovering the snake, the teacher called the Malaysian Civil Defence Force for assistance in removing the snake.

It was only after the snake was pulled out and fell from the ceiling that she realised how big it was.
It was so large that she mistook it for an anaconda and screamed.
"I am grateful we noticed it early. I cannot imagine what would have happened if such a big snake had already entered the house," she said.
She added that this is the first time a snake has entered her house.
Traumatised
As to how it got in, the woman surmised that the python slithered in through the soursop tree behind the house.
She'd noticed an overturned flower pot two days before the incident, and guessed that the snake was from a swampy area near the property.
"I had to clean the floor and carpet because there was a fishy smell," she said.
She added that the incident has traumatised her and her two children, who are now cautious whenever they need to use the bathroom.
