Two men were arrested for affray after a fight reportedly broke out between them at a durian stall in Ang Mo Kio on the night of Nov. 15.

The two men worked for the same durian stall.

The fight resulted in a 52-year-old man being sent to the hospital.

Police seized a clothes rack allegedly used in the fight.

The police told Mothership that they were alerted to a case of a fight at Block 530 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at about 10pm on Saturday.

Police called to scene after fight

An eyewitness told Shin Min Daily News he saw police conducting investigations at the durian stall.

Pictures provided by the eyewitness showed multiple police officers surrounding a man in a white shirt who was seated on a chair, Shin Min reported.

Medical staff were also seen treating the man's injuries.

The 52-year-old man was conveyed conscious to Sengkang General Hospital.

SCDF assessed two other persons for minor injuries, but both persons declined to be sent to the hospital.

Fight broke out between employees: Boss

The durian stall's boss, surnamed Zhao (transliteration), said the fight had broken out between a senior employee and a new employee who was on his second day of work.

Zhao, who started running the stall in March, said she was working inside the stall on Nov. 15 when she heard a commotion.

When she looked over, she realised that her employees were fighting.

Zhao said she did not know the reason for the fight, but understood that a clothes rack was used as a "weapon".

She added that her senior employee, who had been working for her for eight months, was "good-tempered" and "got along well with others".

"Now both have been taken away by the police, and I don't know when they will be released. Today it's just me and another employee manning the stall," Zhao told Shin Min.

Police investigations are ongoing.
