An influencer from China known as "Sister Orange" on Douyin has been uncontactable since Nov. 12 while on holiday in Cambodia to visit her boyfriend.

She had booked a Nov. 13 flight back to China, but has not yet returned, a woman who claimed to be her sister said in a video that has since been removed.

Sister Orange, who is 26 according to her bio, currently has over 121,000 followers on Douyin.

In early November, she travelled to Cambodia to visit her boyfriend, "Brother Dragon", who claimed to own a restaurant in Sihanoukville.

Her last video, posted on Nov. 8, was believed by commenters to have been filmed in Cambodia.

Around that time, she replied to comments saying that she was going back to China soon, and had already booked the flight for Nov. 13.

Phone was turned off

Since Nov. 12, Sister Orange's phone has been turned off, while her boyfriend's phone has gone out of service, according to HK01.

There was also reportedly no record of her arriving and going through customs in China as she was supposed to on Nov. 13.

The family shared that before losing contact with Sister Orange, her state of mind seemed normal, and she did not have any conflict with her family and friends.

Besides raising a potential missing person alert on Douyin and Weibo, her sister also plans to seek help from the Chinese embassy in Cambodia and China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sister Orange's fans have also organised a crowdfunding campaign to support the family in their search in Cambodia.

Feared to be in danger

Many commenters have expressed concern for Sister Orange's safety, and wish for her to return home safely.

A few worry that she has gone missing and might be in danger.

According to HK01, some netizens have been suspicious about Brother Dragon's business, due to Cambodia's notoriety for scams.
