M'sian man, 26, dies after Toyota sports car collides with bus in Melaka
The incident occurred along Jalan Krubong–Sungai Badau on Nov. 16.
A 26-year-old man in Malaysia died after his sports car collided with a bus in Melaka on Nov. 16.
According to The Star, Chong Chee Tong was pronounced dead at the scene along Jalan Krubong-Sungai Badau at around 8am.
The 34-year-old shuttle bus driver suffered injuries, reported New Straits Times (NST).
Lost control and collided with bus from opposite direction
Melaka Tengah assistant police commissioner Christopher Patit said that Chong was driving a Toyota sports car when he lost control and veered into the opposite lane, colliding with the bus.
The shuttle bus was making its way to the Melaka Sentral terminal and failed to avoid the collision.
No passengers were on board at the time.
Patit also confirmed that the weather was clear and the road surface was dry.
Bus driver taken to hospital
According to NST, Cheng Fire and Rescue station operations commander Mohd Norsyah Salleh said that both drivers were trapped in their seats.
The bus driver suffered minor injuries and was sent to Melaka Hospital.
Chong's body was handed over to Melaka police for further investigations.
