During a heated argument in Chonburi, Thailand, a teen's boyfriend brushed his hand against her recently operated nose, prompting her to slash him on the head with a kitchen knife.

The 18-year-old girl had just done a nose job about a month before, News.com.au reported.

Feared her nose was damaged

The incident happened in the couple's home around the middle of November.

The girl has been known for frequently doing cosmetic surgeries, according to News.com.au.

The couple was shoving each other during the argument when the boyfriend, also 18, touched her month-old operated nose.

She claimed that she heard a "loud pop" come from inside her nose, and she thought that her healing nose might have been damaged, possibly disfiguring it.

Due to this fear, she "lost control", she reportedly told the local authorities.

"I grabbed a knife and slashed him once, and he did not try to avoid me, as if accepting his guilt," she said, as quoted by News.com.au.

"I was furious because I was in pain but I apologised to him after I calmed down," she added.

The girl called emergency services, and was seen straddling her boyfriend and pressing a bloodied cloth to his head when help arrived, as seen in footage of the incident.

He had a deep four-inch cut across his scalp, and was bleeding heavily.

Streaks of blood can also be seen on the side of his face and on the girl's leg.

Stayed close during operation

In the ambulance on the way to the hospital, the girl sat beside her boyfriend and held his hand, while covering her face with her other hand, appearing to be emotionally distraught.

She remained by his side in the hospital, as the boy was taken into an operating room to get his wound stitched up.

The boy has declined to press charges, and the police did not arrest the girl.
