A 26-year-old man in the Chiba prefecture of Japan has been arrested for obstruction of business by fraudulent means.
He placed a tea bottle filled with his own pee in the drinks section of a convenience store.
On May 24 at about 11:50am, the man entered a convenience store to put the plastic bottle, labelled as a tea, into the refrigerated drinks section, reported SoraNews24.
On the morning of May 26, a customer unsuspectingly paid for the bottle and took it home.
Just as they were about to drink it that very evening, they smelled an odour coming from the bottle.
The incident was reported to the store, which then notified the police.
The store had to inspect its entire stock, causing an obstruction of business.
The police eventually found the suspect, who admitted to the crime, saying he did it as a prank to blow off steam as he had been "going through some things at work at the time".
