He apparently insisted on going to the market to buy cannabis in the nude.
A foreign man startled residents in Thailand’s Kamphaeng Phet province after he was seen walking around completely naked and riding a motorcycle unclothed, prompting a swift response from police, reported Thai media.
The man, who was visiting his Thai wife, was later detained and fined for public indecency.

The man said he was visiting his Thai wife at the time of the incident, reported The Thaiger.
With the help of an interpreter, he was found to have been intoxicated, and police noted that he also cited personal problems.
The man, who is supposedly from Europe, said he was overwhelmed and “felt stressed,” which led him to remove his clothes before leaving the house.
He claimed he had no intention of causing trouble.
Statement from wife
His wife told police that she had tried to stop him from leaving the house naked, but he insisted on going to the market to buy cannabis in the nude.
She added that he had consumed a case of beer and used cannabis before heading out.
She also told officers that they had been in a relationship for roughly three years and have a daughter.
She claimed that he had been struggling with depression and had even come close to committing suicide abroad once.
He intended to travel back to his home country for treatment at the end of the month, she added.
The wife apologised for her husband's behaviour:
“I want to apologise to society on behalf of my husband. I tried to stop him, but he said this was normal where he comes from. I’m sorry for his behaviour.”
Fine for indecency
He was issued a fine for public indecency under Thai law before being released.
While the precise figure was not disclosed, authorities indicated that the penalty would fall under the legal limit of 5,000 baht (S$200).
