Australian woman, 51, arrested for suspected theft of anti-ageing supplements worth S$507.30 in Changi Airport
The woman was arrested after returning to Singapore on Nov. 2.
The police have arrested a 51-year-old Australian woman for suspected shop theft in the transit area of Changi Airport.
According to a police news release, the police were alerted on May. 7, 2025, to a case of shop theft in the transit area of Changi Airport.
Supplements missing
This comes after a box of supplements worth S$507.30 was discovered missing from the display shelf of a Guardian outlet.
A photo provided by the police showed a black box item with the words "age-defying compound" written on it.
Officers from the Airport Police Division established the identity of the woman with the aid of images from CCTV cameras but she had already departed from Singapore.
The woman allegedly left the outlet with the unpaid item on Apr. 14, 2025.
Arrested upon return
On Nov. 2, 2025, the woman returned to Singapore.
She was arrested while in transit for another flight at Changi Airport.
Penalties
The woman will be charged in court on Nov. 12, 2025 for theft in dwelling.
If convicted, she is liable to a jail term of up to seven years, a fine, or both.
