M'sia woman, 59, arrested for pouring hot water down maid's throat over soy sauce dispute
She and her husband were also arrested for allegedly trafficking the domestic helper.

A woman, 59, in Malaysia was arrested after her stepson reported her to the police for allegedly abusing and trafficking her domestic helper, a 47-year-old Indonesian woman.
According to the New Straits Times, the woman was arrested on Oct. 20, and her 59-year-old husband was later arrested on Oct. 23.
The Serdang district police chief told the media that the arrests were made after the woman's 37-year-old stepson received a message from his sister alerting him that something had happened at home.
According to The Star, the sister told the stepson that the domestic helper was scalded after the mother poured hot water into her mouth, allegedly after the domestic helper used soy sauce without permission.
Investigations also revealed that the domestic helper was repeatedly abused as her breasts were pinched until she sustained injuries, had hot water poured onto her legs and was kicked in the mouth, resulting in broken teeth, said the police chief.
The couple had pleaded not guilty on Oct. 24 to the Klang Sessions Court. Their bail was set at RM20,000 (S$6,150) each, and their passports were surrendered to the court, The Star reported.
