Five people were sent to the hospital following a collision involving multiple vehicles in Kovan on Oct. 24.

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted to the scene, which occurred near Kovan MRT station, at around 4:35pm.

The police told Mothership that one bus, two vans, and three cars had collided along Upper Serangoon Road.

Vehicles damaged, debris scattered

One TikTok video shared on Oct. 24 showed the aftermath of the collision.

One of the vehicles, a light-coloured car, could be seen heavily damaged in the front.

Its front bumper were smashed and dislodged, and debris scattered across the road.

Passers-by were seen rushing over to assist and check in on the driver.

Debris which appeared to be from the rear parts of a bus nearby also littered the ground.

@jennysinglife90 For the first time in my life, I witnessed a car accident right before my eyes, and everything happened in an instant. I hope there were no life-threatening injuries. #accident #singapore #kovanmrt #jennysinglife90 #fyp ♬ Morsmordre (ZHANG JUN) - ZHANG JUN
