Harvest Moon, 1st supermoon of 2025, appeared bigger & brighter than usual over S'pore on Oct. 7
The moon appeared massive just after dusk.
The first of three supermoons of 2025 was highly visible over Singapore on the night of Oct. 7.
The full Harvest Moon appeared larger and brighter than usual, especially at around 7:30pm.
The term is used for the full moon that falls closest to the autumnal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere.
The phenomenon occurred only a day after the Mid-Autumn Festival on Oct. 6.

Two other supermoons are expected in late 2025: The Beaver Moon on Nov. 5, and the Cold Moon on Dec. 4.
