Temasek appoints Tan Chong Meng as deputy chairman, Teo Chee Hean to chair board from Oct. 9
Outgoing chairman Lim Boon Heng remains on board as senior advisor to support the transition.
Temasek Holdings has appointed Tan Chong Meng as its deputy chairman from Oct. 9.
According to a press release on Oct. 8, Tan will serve alongside former Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean, who will chair the board.

Teo, whose appointment was announced in June 2025, will take over Lim on Oct. 9.
He started serving as deputy chairman on Jul. 1.
As part of this leadership transition, Temasek said that Lim has accepted its invitation to remain on board as a senior advisor.
His role will allow the board and management to continue benefiting from his "extensive network" and "insights" on key issues.

Tan, who has served as a non-executive director on the board and a member of its Executive Committee since April 2024, brings decades of leadership experience spanning global trade, infrastructure, supply chains, energy, and healthcare.
He has served in roles across both public and private sectors, with 12 years of experience as Group Chief Executive Officer of PSA International and other leadership roles at Royal Dutch Shell.
He also began his career with Singapore's Ministry of National Development (MND).
Currently, Tan chairs the National University Health System (NUHS) and sits on several prominent boards, including the Council of Presidential Advisers and the NUS Board of Trustees.
