A Singapore-registered Lamborghini sports utility vehicle (SUV) tried to cut in line by using the bus lane at the Johor Bahru checkpoint towards Woodlands, but ended up getting pulled aside by Malaysian police.

A video of the incident on Sep. 28 at around 3:50pm was shared online.

Cars did not want to give way

The SUV was seen trying to filter out of the bus lane to enter the queue for cars.

However, the cars to its left refused to give way.

As the luxury vehicle was blocking the bus lane, the approaching bus sounded the honk almost continuously for close to 30 seconds.

The SUV was still stuck in its position as there was no room to its left to manoeuvre.

The loud honking sound likely attracted the attention of a Johor police officer, who rode against traffic to approach the Singapore-registered SUV.

Asked to produce passport

The one-minute clip, which has been reshared and viewed millions of times on social media platforms, showed the police officer asking the driver to wind down the window.

The driver then produced a passport, which was handed over to the police officer.

The police officer asked the driver to follow him.

Reactions

Reactions to the video praised the cars on the left for not giving way to the queue-cutter.

The commenters, a mix of Singaporeans and Malaysians, also expressed their pleasure at seeing the queue-cutter being taken to task and the Malaysian police taking enforcement action swiftly.
