M'sia woman posts public apology after confronting husband over alleged affair in viral video
No public apology from the husband yet.
A Malaysian woman has recently issued a public apology on Instagram after a video of her confronting her husband at a health clinic for allegedly cheating went viral, reported Sinar Harian.
The woman, identified as Iffah Mazzlan, the owner of a hair salon, admitted that uploading the recording of the incident to social media was a reckless mistake.
She now acknowledged that the matter should have been privately handled and asked for the netizens’ goodwill to stop spreading the video.
The apology
In a statement shared on her Instagram account on Sep. 28, she said her actions were driven by emotions that she could not control at the time.
“I also ask for the kindness of everyone who has received, watched, or re-shared the video to help stop its spread.”
“This not only involves the shame of myself and my partner, but also affects our children and extended family.”

In the clip, the husband was seen standing beside another woman while she collected her medication, holding onto her shoulder.
As they both turned around to walk away, they suddenly noticed her, and they appeared to be shocked as they realised they were being recorded.

The husband looked down at his phone while the other woman immediately strode away from the scene.

Following the other woman, Iffah then yanked her by the hair and asked: “Hey, who are you?”
The other woman replied with the now much-parodied line: “Go and ask your husband”.
In the background, the man can be seen trying to placate his wife and insisting repeatedly that the other woman was “just a friend”.
In subsequent recordings of the incident uploaded by Iffah, the man can also be seen trying to defend the other woman and telling his wife not to disturb her.
He claimed as well that his wife was being “very rude” and that he only knew the other woman through her “brother”, who was his friend.
“Don’t touch her,” he asserted while his wife demanded for his phone, “she has nothing to do with this.”
Netizens’ reactions
The clip has quickly spread across social media platforms, sparking intense reactions from netizens and inspiring parody content from online creators.
It has been re-created into raps, dances and countless skit adaptations by various online users, including one uploaded by a polyclinic's official account.

It has even reached Singapore's shores.
Comments range from people who empathise with Iffah, with some saying that they would have caused more of a scene and gone even further in revenge, while others criticised her for uploading the clip and insisted that she should have handled the situation better.
As of now, all of the clips have been deleted from her TikTok account.
Iffah also maintained that she is now seeking to resolve the matter “through the proper channels” and urged the public to allow her family privacy as they address the fallout.
