Girl, 16, among 7 people arrested in Rochor Canal & Little India police raids

The other six arrested were men aged 22 to 44.

A total of six men and one woman, aged between 16 and 44, were arrested for various offences, following enforcement operations conducted at Rochor Canal Road and Little India on Sep. 11, 2025.

Who got arrested

Four men, aged between 24 and 44, were arrested for being suspected members of unlawful societies.

A 22-year-old man was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty and for using abusive words towards a public servant.

A 16-year-old teenage girl was arrested for using a forged electronic record and for drunkenness in a public place.

A 40-year-old man was arrested for suspected drug-related offences.

The case was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau.

In addition, two men, aged between 38 and 40, were caught for e-vaporiser related offences, with five e-vaporisers and related components seized.

The e-vaporiser-related offences will be referred to the Health Sciences Authority.

Close to 100 persons checked

The operation was led by Central Police Division and supported by the Secret Societies Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department.

Proactive checks were conducted on close to 100 persons across 18 public entertainment outlets to suppress secret society activities at these locations.

The police said it will continue to monitor the situation and step up enforcement operations to deter gang activities that threaten public safety.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Penalties

The offence of being a member of an unlawful society carries a fine of up to S$10,000, an imprisonment of up to three years, or both.

The offence of voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from discharging his duty carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years, and a fine, or caning.

The offence of using abusive words towards a public servant carries a fine of up to S$5,000, or an imprisonment term of up to 12 months, or both.

The offence of dishonestly using as genuine a forged electronic record carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years, and a fine, or both.

The offence of being drunk and incapable in a public place carries a fine of up to S$1,000, an imprisonment term of up to one month, or both.

The offence for possessing, using, or purchasing e-vaporisers carries a fine of up to S$2,000.
