Car overtakes & crashes into lorry in opposite lane at Upper Changi Road North: 2 men, aged 26 & 60, taken to hospital
Head-on.
A car was caught on dashboard camera overtaking along Upper Changi Road North in Loyang and crashing head on with a lorry in the opposite lane on Sep. 1 at about 10am.
It was raining at the time and visibility was low.
The white car was on the left lane of the two-lane road and attempted to overtake.
However, when it did so, it cut across the solid white line on the road that divides traffic in opposite directions.
The white car crashed head-on into the lorry.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at about 10am.
A 26-year-old male car driver and his 60-year-old male car passenger were conveyed conscious to Changi General Hospital.
SCDF said a person was found trapped in the driver's seat of a car.
He was freed using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The 26-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
According to 8world, the car has an ST Engineering logo printed on it.
