Woman, 26, hit by car after dashing across street in Orchard, cracks windscreen

A 26-year-old female pedestrian was caught on camera dashing across Bideford Road in Orchard before being struck by a car.

She was later taken to the hospital conscious.

Police confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to the accident at around 10:05am on Aug. 2.

A 43-year-old male driver is currently assisting with investigations.

Incident caught on dashcam

The accident was captured on the dashcam of the car involved and later posted on Facebook page Singapore Incidents.

The vehicle was travelling on the extreme right lane of Bideford Road when the woman suddenly ran across the street.

She collided with the car, cracking its windshield and then tumbled onto the road.

The incident occurred directly beneath an overhead bridge that connects Paragon Orchard to Masjid Al-Falah.
