DJ Koo reportedly visits late wife Barbie Hsu's grave daily since her death 5 months ago

Barbie Hsu's husband, Koo Jun Yup, was spotted at Chin Pao San Cemetery in Taiwan, where he was seen mourning his late wife five months after her passing.

The South Korean singer, also known as DJ Koo, is said to have been visiting the cemetery daily, regardless of rain or shine.

Hsu passed away on Feb. 2 at the age of 48 due to pneumonia caused by influenza while in Japan.

In a Threads post on Jul. 27, a user recalled visiting the cemetery with a group to leave flowers for Hsu, only to find a man sitting alone in the graveyard.

When they approached the man, they soon realised it was Koo.

Noting Koo politely thanked them, the visitor said he could not imagine the pain Koo must feel for losing his wife, and said he was the most devoted person he knew.

A photo showed Koo sitting on a foldable chair in front of the gravesite.

Many other users took to social media to share their encounter with Koo, with one posting a photo of the singer looking at a photo of Hsu on his tablet.

Koo visits Hsu every day, according to the daughter of a person who worked at the cemetery.

Hsu's family had initially planned to have a tree burial for the Taiwanese actress, though this was ultimately changed due to Koo's wish to have a burial site where he could visit whenever he wanted, according to Korean JoongAng Daily.

A rekindled relationship

Hsu met Koo when she was around 20 to 22 years old, and they dated briefly before breaking up.

Hsu later married Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, with whom they had two children.

The couple rekindled their relationship in 2022 after Hsu's divorce and got married soon after.

Hsu is best known for her roles in “Meteor Garden”, “Mars”, and “Summer’s Desire”.
