Singapore beat Bangladesh 2-1 at the sold-out Dhaka National Stadium on Jun. 10.
Singapore tops table
The win gives Singapore four points after two matches to top their group in the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers.
Hong Kong, in second place, have the same number of points, but fewer goals scored.
Bangladesh are third and India at the bottom.
Each of the six group leaders will qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup.
According to the Fifa world rankings, Singapore are in 161st place, while Bangladesh are 183rd.
First goal
The Lions scored the first goal at the stroke of half-time.
A long throw into the box caused some problems for the Bangladesh goalkeeper, who could not control the ball in the air.
Harhys Stewart played the ball back into the box for Song Ui-young to score.
Second goal
Ikhsan Fandi scored the second goal in the 58th minute with a low shot that had more accuracy than power.
Bangladesh pulled on back
Bangladesh managed to pull one back in the 67th minute courtesy of Rakib Hossain to give the 21,317-strong crowd something to cheer about.
The shot squeezed under the Singapore keeper to roll into the net.
Playing India next
Singapore have never qualified for the Asian Cup on merit.
Singapore will play India at home in October.
