SAF serviceman, 24, sent to hospital after military vehicle & van collided at Upper Changi Road East
He was conveyed conscious to the hospital and has since been discharged.
A Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) vehicle collided with a van along Upper Changi Road East towards New Upper Changi Road on Jun. 10 morning.
As a result, the SAF vehicle driver, a 24-year-old SAF serviceman, was conveyed to the hospital.
Scene caught on camera
The aftermath of the collision was caught on the dash camera of another vehicle passing by the scene. The footage was subsequently uploaded to Facebook.
According to the video, the collision involved a grey van and a SAF five-tonner.
The van was seen in front of the SAF vehicle that had stopped in the middle lane of the road.
An ambulance and a traffic police motorcycle could be seen parked behind the SAF vehicle.
A traffic police officer and another personnel dressed in reflective gear could be seen at the scene.
Police investigations ongoing
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force confirmed they were alerted to the collision at around 7am on Tuesday.
The SAF vehicle driver, a 24-year-old male, was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

SAF serviceman discharged from hospital
The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) also told Mothership that the ministry is aware of the collision.
MINDEF also confirmed that the SAF vehicle driver is an SAF serviceman but did not reveal whether he was a full-time national serviceman (NSF) or a regular.
He was sent to Changi General Hospital and has since been discharged after receiving outpatient treatment, according to the ministry.
"The SAF is assisting the police with their ongoing investigations," read the statement.
