Trump tripped on steps going up to Air Force One, previously mocked Biden for tripping
Secretary of State Marco Rubio similarly also stumbled while trying to board Air Force One on the same day.
United States president Donald Trump tripped while walking up the stairs to Air Force One on Sunday, Jun. 8.
He had to place his hand onto a step after he lost his balance.
The 78-year-old president had just spoken to reporters about protests in Los Angeles.
The moment was caught on video as Trump was heading to Camp David with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
It was reported that Rubio similarly also stumbled while trying to board Air Force One on the same day.

Previously mocked Biden for tripping
Trump previously mocked former president Joe Biden for stumbling while in office.
In 2023, Trump mocked Biden for falling at the Air Force graduation ceremony in Colorado.
Trump said it was “not inspiring” for the graduates to have seen the then-president trip over a sandbag.
“I hope he wasn’t hurt. I hope he wasn’t hurt... You don’t want that,” Trump said during a campaign event in Iowa.
Trump mocked this time
This time, Trump faced mockery.
“When Joe Biden did stuff like this, Fox would play the clips over and over like it was as significant as the moon landing,” journalist Aaron Rupar noted.
Trump asked about LA riots
Prior to tripping, Trump was asked if he would be willing to invoke the Insurrection Act in response to the protests against immigration raids in Los Angeles.
“Depends on whether or not there's an insurrection,” Trump said.
A reporter asked if he believed that there was an insurrection taking place.
“No, no, but you have violent people,” he added. “And we're not going to let them get away with it.”
Asked if he would deploy troops even without invoking the Insurrection Act, Trump said: “We’re going to have troops everywhere. We’re not going to let this happen to our country. We’re not going to let our country be torn apart like it was under Biden.”
