A 32-year-old man in Japan was found dead in a Nagoya love hotel on Jun. 7.

According to NHK, the man, identified as Hisamichi Kurita, an office worker, is believed to have entered the hotel room with a woman after drinking with colleagues at a restaurant on the night of Jun. 6.

Surveillance footage later showed another man entering the same room shortly afterwards.

A 20-year-old suspect has since been arrested by police on suspicion of murder and robbery.

Found face down and strangled

Kurita was discovered after his wife contacted his workplace, concerned that she could not reach him.

One of Kurita's colleagues, who had been with him the previous evening, knew which hotel he was staying at and went to check on him.

Accompanied by a hotel employee, the colleague found Kurita shirtless and lying face-down.

There were bloodstains on the sheets, which appeared to be from a nosebleed.

An autopsy later confirmed that Kurita died from asphyxiation due to strangulation.

Police also reported that none of Kurita’s personal belongings were found in the room.

They also believe that the suspect had attacked Kurita after an argument.

Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are still searching for the woman who was seen entering the room with him.
