Elon Musk had a lot to say about U.S. president Donald Trump last week.
This episode was supposedly set off by Trump's bill, which he opposed.
Trump, however, said Musk was opposing the bill because it would take away his EV mandate.
This war of words strayed quite a bit from the bill, eventually involving claims that Trump was in the Epstein files.
The files are a popular online shorthand to refer to a list of people that were complicit in the underage sexual activities that purportedly took place on Jeffrey Epstein's "island".
Trump had previously denied any connection to Epstein, saying he was never on his plane, or his "stupid" island.
Musk has deleted some of his more critical posts on the president, including the call for his impeachment and his Epstein allegation.
Now it seems Musk is denouncing at least some of those tweets.
I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.

Trump has not made any comment on this particular Musk post, but the White House had earlier said Trump was "not interested" in a call with Musk.
