Man, 42, arrested for allegedly stealing 18 potted plants, plant racks & 3 flowerpots from Yishun HDB block
The man will be charged with theft on Jun. 12.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on Jun. 10 for allegedly stealing 18 potted plants, two plant racks, and three flowerpots from Block 418 Yishun Avenue 11.
The man will be charged in court on Jun. 12 with theft, which carries a jail term of up to three years, a fine, or both, said the Singapore Police Force in a Jun. 11 news release.
Stolen items recovered
According to the police, they were alerted to multiple cases of theft of potted plants at the public housing block between Jun. 5 and 8.
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras and surveillance footage, officers from Woodlands Police Division established the man's identity and arrested him.
The stolen items were recovered, added the police.
